Kintsugi

Kintsugi (金継ぎ) or kintsukuroi (金繕い), is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with urushi lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. This philosophy embraces the breakage and repair as an integral part of the object’s history, rather than something to disguise.
